Feb 10, 2020 · The F1 key is supposed to toggle Mirroring of displays. It may require the use of the fn key to get the message. For the MacBook I’m using the hdmi to thunderbolt adapter, and it’s not working; just the aforementioned flickering. For the windows computer, I plug the hdmi directly into the computer and it works great.
Jan 26, 2019 · Yeah this does not really work. My Multiport Dongle is working, the USB-A and USB-C ports the dongle have work perfectly on my MacBook Pro, they problem is the HDMI. I am pretty sure the port works because when I plug in the HDMI into the dongle the monitor lights up but and then shows a no signal screen.

I'm trying to connect my 2012 11" MacBook Air to my Panasonic p60st60 1080p plasma HDTV using a new Monoprice Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter & 6' HDMI cable. My TV displays a "No signal" message and my Mac does not show a secondary display option under System Preferences > Displays. I thought it was a handshake issue so I turned off the TV
1) Try a different HDMI cable. 2) Try a different HDMI port on the TV. 3) Use Thunderbolt to connect to the TV. No luck. But still when I connect the MacBook Pro the laptop see the tv but the TV show No Signale. It was working fine for so long with the same tv with no issue. Also I have my Amazon FireTv connected via hdmi with no issue.
